Offered here is a beautiful plein air style sketch of the Maine coastline signed “F. Ward” in the lower right of the painting. Written on the back is the date October 19, 1953, and “Beals Island from Dock”. We were unable to identify who F. Ward was, but clearly he/she was an accomplished artist, as this and the other sketch we have for sale are both completed with a confident hand and strong colors. The paper measures 8.75 x 11.25 inches. This comes unframed, and will look absolutely amazing once framed.
